Luke 10:2 - "Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest."

It is commonly thought that an evangelist is someone who has a passion to lead people to the Lord. But every believer should have a passion for souls. When presenting the Gospel, we are not just presenting a theory about God but the factual account of God's dealings with man as revealed through His Word, with the ultimate witness being the bodily resurrection of Jesus. Our personal witness of the reality of Jesus being alive in our lives brings Christ from theory to reality.

Topic: A Global Best-seller [Saturday July 1, 2017]

His every word is a treasure of knowledge and understanding. — Proverbs 2:6 (TLB)
It is small wonder . . . the Bible has always been the world’s best-seller! No other book can touch its profound wisdom, its poetic beauty, or the accuracy of its history and prophecy. Its critics who claimed it to be filled with forgery, fiction, and unfulfilled promises are finding that the difficulties lie with themselves, and not the Bible.

Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household? - Matthew 24:45

Scripture Reading: Matthew 24:42-51

The Word tells us that God shows Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are "perfect" toward Him (2 Chronicles 16:9). That word perfect doesn't mean that we have to do everything just right and live without making a mistake. Thank God, we don't have to do that. It means "devoted"—a heart consecrated, dedicated, loyal and faithful to God.

Bible Reading in one Year: Genesis 1-3

Dunamis’ Daily Devotional July 1, 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche - In The Days Of His Power

Scripture: Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning, though has the dew of thy youth. Psalm 110:3

Thought For The Day: To stand in holiness is to attract the attention and power of God.

A closer look at events in the world clearly shows that we are in the end of the age. Every sign is indicative of the fact that Jesus is about to come again. Interestingly, the time prior to His second coming is a time for the escalation of power, and that time is already at hand (Psalms 110:1-3).

Rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. 1 Peter 2:1

Recently, I switched rooms in the home I rent. This took longer than expected, because I didn’t want to simply transfer my (extensive) mess to a new room; I wanted a completely fresh and uncluttered start. After hours and hours of cleaning and sorting, bags of stuff sat by the front door to be thrown away, donated, or recycled. But at the end of this exhausting process was a beautiful room I was excited to spend time in.

For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by his goodness]. — 2 Corinthians 5:21

Meditate on these: 2 Cor. 4:18, Jer. 1:11-12

2 Corinthians 2:14 says, “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.” The words, “always” and “every place” connote that daily victory is possible. You may not be enjoying that level of victory right now, but you have the potential and what makes it a realty is faith.

Topic: THE JOHANNESBURG DINNER LESSON AGAIN
( 1 TIMOTHY 4:12; 1 CORINTHIANS 13:1-13).
Like a story told by Patricia Butler Dyson, I remember how years ago, as I sat wityh my wife and baby in a restaurant in Johannesburg, South Africa, a man with long hair and an untidy moustache, slumped on a table near us. And from the look of his bulging overcoat, everything he owned was stuffed into his pockets. My little baby then (now over thirteen) waved at him innocently and he flashed back a smile with his dented teeth. As we sat there wondering if this was one of the notorious Johannesburg “area boys,” one of the fellow diners like us, suddenly got up from his table where he too was having dinner with his family, walked over to the man and spoke to him, then went to have a chat with a waitress.

Death. It’s not a popular topic—even among believers. In fact, a great many are just plain scared of it. Oh yes, they talk about having eternal life. Yet when the devil tries to threaten their earthly survival with sickness or calamity, they panic.

Key Verse: "Son of man, speak unto the elders of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye come to enquire of me? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you" (Ezekiel 20:3).

Thought for the day: Sin is an entanglement; free yourself from it.

Bible Reading in one Year: Esther 6-10

Matthew Henry, a nonconformist English minister and Bible commentator, once said, "No attribute of God is more dreadful to sinners than His holiness." That is why our text reveals that when the Israelites wanted to inquire certain issues from God, He outrightly refused to listen to them.

Topic: Prayer Is a Conversation [Friday June 30, 2017]

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. — Matthew 21:22

Prayer is a two-way conversation; it is our talking to God, and His talking to us. As a Christian, you have a heavenly Father who hears and answers prayer. Jesus said, “All things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” Every man or woman whose life has counted for the church and the Kingdom of God has been a person of prayer. You cannot afford to be too busy to pray.

As a matter of fact, when divine direction is absent expertise and competence will still end in frustration. One thing you cannot do without in life, is divine direction.

During the war a church in Strasburg, Germany, was totally destroyed; but a statue of Christ which stood by the altar was almost unharmed. Only the hands of the statue were missing. When the church was rebuilt, a famous sculptor offered to make new hands; but, after considering the matter, the members decided to let it stand as it was—without hands. “For,” they said, “Christ has no hands but our hands to do His work on earth.

Jesus was constantly being accused of breaking the law of Moses. He taught differently than the law of Moses (Mt. 5:21-48), and now He rebukes His disciples for desiring to do what an Old Testament prophet did with God's blessing and power. However, Jesus didn't come to destroy the law but to fulfill it.

. . . The [Holy] Spirit [Who imparts] grace (the unmerited favor and blessing of God). — Hebrews 10:29

Grace is the power of the Holy Spirit available to you to do with ease what you cannot do by striving in your own strength. Grace is God’s power coming into our lives, freely enabling us to do whatever we need to do. God’s grace is always available, but we do need to receive it by faith and refuse to try to do things in our own strength without God.

David Abioye's Daily Devotional June 28, 2017 – The Superiority Of Divine Direction

Topic: The Superiority of Divine Direction [Wednesday June 28, 2017]

“Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go” (Isaiah 48:17). Divine guidance is a covenant; God is committed to guiding the believer, but one thing that continually contests for a place in man’s heart as an alternative to divine direction is expertise.

That has to do with knowledge, skill and competence. A man who banks on his expertise would say, “I have sufficient knowledge, I have good understanding of this issue, I am a man of myself, I am competent.” In this Kingdom, competence is not a guarantee for success in life. Apostle Paul said in I Corinthians1:27, “…God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty.”

There are many people who are super-qualified in terms of degrees and papers; they have the facts yet they are struggling in life because they lack direction. There are others who don’t have as much qualifications yet they are doing exploits, all doors open to them, because they are directed by God. Many people disqualify themselves from getting God’s best in life by relying on their skills and knowledge. Please understand that what obtains in the world does not obtain in the kingdom of God. The fact that you can speak good grammar for instance, doesn’t make you a preacher……………….
